In the midst of six Super Bowl championships and the environment, Tom Brady held his rightful place in the Patriots Hall of Fame.
On Wednesday, this New England legend was enshrined in the team’s sacred hall at Gillette Stadium, ending a three hour long event. His number 12 jersey was officially retired and it was announced that a statue would also be erected for him.
On a night dedicated to him, this revered GOAT continues to make every effort to pay tribute to those who have helped him achieve the most successful career in NFL chronicles.
“As an individual, nothing important in life is accomplished,” Brady said shortly after putting on the red Patriots Hall of Fame jacket and officially being selected for the team’s honor list. No one hung these six banners alone there. The team did it. In New England, it was always about “us” and “us”, not “me” or “mine”. Interpersonal relationships are built on shared experiences, and the most meaningful thing in my life is interpersonal relationships. I really wish I had more time. I hope I have more time for all of you.
How can I summarize the twenty years of New England with a brief speech? The answer is simple: you can’t. It’s difficult for me to express my gratitude correctly, and how my time here has added gratitude to my life. There are too many lessons to learn, too many stories to tell, too many incredible moments and achievements we have experienced together. I need 30 days to complete all of this, not 30 minutes. There are too many people to thank, and if I miss anyone, I will apologize in advance.
Although this night belongs to Brady, former head coach Bill Belichick is also worth noting – he collaborated with the quarterback to establish the greatest NFL dynasty of the Super Bowl era – returning to Gillette Stadium. Belichik, who parted ways with the team after the 2023 season, received enthusiastic applause from fans, which clearly resonated with the hoodies.
“I love you, New England,” Belichik said. Love you, Patriot fans. Love Tom Brady.
